Online Payment: Email Money Transfers to

Note that the new “Auto Deposit” feature for Interac transfer will change the processes described below. For the most part this will simplify things as it eliminates the need for a “question & reply” on the transfer.

    Please make sure you include your name and cottage # in the “notes” section of the wire transfer.

In order to pay your membership in the Belmont Lake Cottagers’ Association (BLCA), follow the directions below. We have documented the procedures for the Royal Bank (RBC), TD Canada Trust (TD) and the Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS). All banks offer the same service, but the specifics will be slightly different. We hope this will save you time and postage.

  1. Sign on to online banking.
  2. Click on “Pay bills and transfer funds”.
  3. Add Interac email money transfer recipient
  4. Name: BLCA
  5. Email address:
  6. Security Question: What is the name of our lake?
  7. Answer: Belmont
  8. Go back to “pay bills and transfer funds”
  9. Select account from which to withdraw funds.
  10. Select recipient from payee list: BLCA
  11. Check the email money transfer box.
  12. In the message field enter your name and cottage address
  13. Click “Submit”


  1. Sign on to online banking
  2. Click on “Funds Transfer”
  3. Click on “Send Money” under “Interac Email Money Transfers”
  4. Instructions will appear to explain how the email money transfer works. At the bottom of the explanation, fill in your name and email address, and click “Agree”.
  5. On the next screen, fill in the “New Recipient Information”
  6. Name: BLCA
  7. Email address:
  8. Under “Transfer Details”, enter the amount to be transferred.
  9. Under “Security Question”, type “What is the name of our lake?”
  10. Under “Answer”, type “Belmont”
  11. Under “Message to Recipient”, enter your name and cottage address
  12. Under “Access Code”, enter your access code that you use every time you set up a new payee for on-line banking
  13. Click “Submit”

TD Canada Trust

    If you do not have BLCA set up as a recipient, the first step is to set them up as follows:

  1. Interac e-Transfer
  2. Manage Contacts (under “Send Money”)
  3. Touch “Add Contact” tab
  4. Contact Name: “BLCA”
  5. Contact Address: “”
  6. Touch “Add” tab

If you already have BLCA as a contact:

  1. Interac
  2. Choose the source account for payment
  3. Enter the amount ($30)
  4. Select a Recipient (BLCA)
  5. In the message box type in your name and cottage address so we know what cottage to attribute the payment to
  6. Send Money
